A factory visit or remote review helps buyers understand how a supplier handles products and orders. A useful audit records what was observed, what documents were checked and what still needs confirmation. A facility’s size or a short video alone cannot establish product quality or compliance.

Review the product and process scope

Ask which product families are made at the facility and which operations are performed there. For switches and sockets, buyers may review the relevant assembly flow, tooling, component handling, inspection steps and packing process. Record the date and scope of the evidence provided.

Connect samples to production records

  • Match the sample, drawing, item code and quotation to the same model revision.
  • Ask how incoming components and in-process checks are recorded for that product.
  • Review the agreed inspection criteria and who signs off each order.
  • Confirm packaging marks, carton quantities and batch identification.
  • Ask how design or component changes are communicated and approved.

Verify destination-market documentation

Request current model-specific ratings, test reports and conformity documents for each target market. Check issuer, scope, model references and validity with the appropriate parties. Do not assume a document for one series or country covers another.

Keep findings actionable

Separate observations from documents reviewed and open questions. Assign an owner and due date to each follow-up, then resolve them before the purchase order or shipment release as appropriate.

OUBEN states that it was established in 1999 and operates a 20,000 m² facility in Foshan, China. Factory materials show production, mold and copper processing, assembly and packing activities. Buyers should verify the current scope and records directly for the products under consideration; these facts do not by themselves certify capacity, process control or product conformity.
